Cool stuff! Rad art! Will have to try and get people together to run some of these.
Hello! Amazing content. Went through a few adventure and can't wait to run them with my group :) adventure seems enthralling and diversified. Thank you. I really like the layout and the fact that everything holds on two pages (including map) is perfect :)
Weird editing question (I'm not a pro) . Shouldn't odd numbered pages be on the right hand side ? I think numbering should start at the introduction (so TOC is not page #1) and everything would be fine. Again I'm not sure whether this numbering scheme is intentional or not as I'm not a pro nor a grand connoisseur of the zine style.
Weird answer: maybe! (Not a pro either.) I have never really thought about it and am not sure how it’s important, because all I use page numbers for is finding my place in a book, but I guess now I’ll read up on what’s the „done thing“ and maybe change it next time 😊
I tried to get a pod from Lulu and ordered cancelled due to "contain errors preventing it from being printed" and they are going to contact you.
Let me know if this or when this is resolved. I'd like to get a physical copy. ;)
Yeah, we’re facing some issues on that front. I’ll let you know when it’s resolved.
Much appreciated!
It should work now, we reuploaded the files.
Really nice, thanks for all the hard work that went into producing this.
One slight issue is that the room numbering is a bit off on the first adventure in both the PDF and my POD copy. There are two locations in the text labelled as 5 and this affects the subsequent rooms - simply add +1 to all the room numbers on pages 5 and 6.
Oh no! I guess all of us missed that one. Thanks for letting me know, I'll fix it ASAP (at least in the PDF).
ETA: It is fixed now, in PDF and POD.
Thank you for putting this together :)
This is awesome! I downloaded the PDF, skimmed it, then ordered the hardback copy. Thanks!
Sweet! I'd like to order a physical copy, as well, but indecisive about hard vs soft cover. Please post your thoughts on the hardcover when it arrives and you get a chance - thanks in advance.
It arrived today. The cover is nice. It's a very thin book. It's fine. It's very much a PoD book. The content seems a little off-center (a little high on the page) or there wasn't enough whitespace left. It's perfectly functional, though, and worth the $20.
super great entries in there!
I wish we would be able to find this gem by using the itch.io search funtion with the term "shadowdark". it is not listed in the search results. :(
Thanks for pointing that out! Apparently the itch.io search only searches titles, so I changed the title of this page. The zine can now be found by searching "Shadowdark".
This is great! Would love to play some of these. :) Can I give a suggestion? Please name your "VTT Maps.zip" file so that it starts with the name of the PDF. Makes it much easier to figure out that they are connected to each other when you see them a few months later in your download folder.. :D
Excellent point, immediately rectified. (Did I mistype “Sh*ts in the Dark” at first? I sure did! 🙈)
Those are all wonderful! Thank you so much for putting this together
This are amazing!! What a great work the community is doing!
Whaaaaat??!!! This is so so so so good. Is there a way to contribute? I don't want money. I would just love to create with people who write like this. They are so concise, clear, and GOOD ideas.
There absolutely is! We'll be opening submissions for issue #2 soon.
Awesome. Thank you. Where can I sign up so that I don't miss it?
I’ll post a devlog update here. Also, if you’re on the ShadowDark discord, there’s a thread there as well.
Geeeee wizzzz this is fantastic! Thank you to everyone that contributed!🧙♂️
Thank you! These look amazing.
This is great! I love to see so many folks contributing to the Shadowdark ecosystem.
